LAMP LIGHT BOOKS HOTEL nagoya

Room was very small for us. I thought we reserved the two twins beds room. Also, the staff could have been more cheerful and welcoming.

I loved the whole book atmosphere of the place; the furnishing and decoration really made this hotel feel more warm and comforting. Everything was also very clean and modern. The rainfall shower was amazing!

The hotel is in a good location. I enjoyed the downstairs café, and I was able to walk to many good restaurants.

For my taste, the beds could be a little more comfortable. This is subjective—everyone has a different opinion, but I would prefer the mattresses to have a little more softness. It would be nice to expand the laundry service to all floors instead of the single set of machines in the café.

The staff were fun, and made an effort to understand my jokes. Had an early train my last day and they gave me breakfast to go. It made the train ride wonderful. Thank you!

Bathroom could have been cleaner

Amazing hotel, honestly the best hotel during my entire Japan trip.This place was cheap, convenient, clean, just the whole package.conveniently located a few minutes away to an underground train station.Staff was friendly and helpful, there's even a redeemable free drink on the house for hotel guests.

Honestly not many things to pick on, this was a fantastic hotel.Could do with a slightly larger clothe washing facility would be my only pick.Only 2x washing machines does make things more demanding.

There’s no “lounge” to speak of outside of the cage downstairs, which is nice but rather small.

I loved that you could access the cafe at any time, they had a convenient coin laundry machine, the room was nice, and the hotel staff were super nice!

Room was much smaller than I was expecting but it was only for one night so manageable

The room was great and a good size! I appreciated the pajamas, and the coffee shop/ book shop. I bought 2 books! It was very close to the subway station and made it easy to get around. There is a convenience store right outside.

Prime location, friendly staff

A bit small rooms, but I guess that’s Japanese standards

The hotel is unique for its book nook on the ground floor and the ability to check out books to read in your room. We appreciate the amenities including laundry and microwave area. The hotel also looks out to a park and is within walking distance to train stations, eateries and heritage district.

Rooms were very clean and staff very friendly.

The size of the room was small but we knew this so it was not an issue for us.

The location is great, so closed to metro station, 5 minutes walk

There is only 1 lift, and emergency exit was locked, give the unsafe feeling if something happened. And the breakfast is quite expensive with only 2 mini burgers and 1 drink without refill for around €15/pp. No coffee/tea bags even there is a coffee machine or water cooker. Every amenities have to be asked which is uncomfortable. And the bed has only 2 mini pillows.

This is a very nice and stylish hotel in Nagoya. It is cozy, it's clean, and we found the rooms well designed and spacious enough in Japanese terms. Our stay in Nagoya was great since it's a lovely city but it's also thanks to this hotel that we got to all places we wanted simply by walking. peaceful and quite by far compared to other major cities in Japan.

Very clean and quiet. The room was small but everything I needed was there.

I really liked that it's part book cafe and the hotel encourages you to read! Plenty of light in the room (for more reading). The breakfast menu had different mini-burger options daily so there was a variety of flavors to pick.

I had a little trouble finding the entrance - it was kind of subtle since it's all glass/window panels but I figured it out eventually by noticing the outdoor mat.

It was amazing and I loved the relaxed vibe. I could read a lil book and drink coffee while I people watched. It’s right next to a little park too that was nice to sit at. It’s also inbetween a lawsons and 7/11 if you need anything.
